San Fernando:
The city of San Fernando is one of the largest cities in Trinidad and Tobago. It is also the second largest municipality of Trinidad and Tobago. San Fernando in Trinidad and Tobago is situated in the South western part of the island of Trinidad. San Fernando has the Guaracara River flowing to its North, the Oropouche River to the east.
On the east and the west it is guarded by Sir Hochoy Highway and the Gulf of Paria respectively. San Fernando can be divided into two basic parts, the main town lies in the proximity of the San Fernando Hills and the Alexander Hills and the new suburbs lie in the north, west and east.
Formerly, San Fernado was known as the San Fernando de Naparima, established by the Spanish Governor Jose Maria Chacon, in 1784.
